Rector’s message 12th May 2023

Annual Church Meeting

This Sunday at 11am we hold our Annual Church Meeting. It will be the last Annual Meeting I will  chair before I retire. You will be relieved to hear that  in my Rector’s report I am not planning to review the past 26 years of life at All Saints – just 2022,  and what I hope for you in the coming year.

This year I am delighted that we have a good number of people nominated to fill the vacancies on the Church Council (PCC).  This is excellent news especially this year as there will be work to do finding a new Rector for the parish and it will be really important that you have as many representatives  of the church community on the PCC as you can have.

The coming year is also the one where we re-open the church building with an ambition to make space for all in the building. At the Annual Meeting you will hear from The Reverend Hannah Higginson about the exciting opportunities there are for the refurbished building to be used to make a difference in the community.

So please come – it will not be boring!
