There is lots of opportunity for working with other churches across the area and many of our members and clergy are involved with this. For example, some volunteer at the Wokingham Foodbank, which is an ecumenical church initiative and has many volunteers from different local churches and none. We are also involved in ecumenical initiatives such as Open the Book where a team from different churches go in to local primary schools and ‘perform’ Bible stories for the children. Across our deanery we have an initiative to bring together our church ‘green teams’, working to make us all more ‘eco-aware’ and better preserve God’s world.
