Talk on Scams

Mothers’ Union notice

We are holding a SCAMS talk on Wednesday 24th July at 2pm – 3.30pm, in the De Vitre room.

This subject affects us all.  Most of us these days have either fallen for a scam, or know someone who has.  A very low percentage of scams are reported, usually because victims feel foolish and scammers rely on this.

Your Mothers’ Union has arranged for Malcolm Phillips, our local victim support officer, to give us a talk on this.  His talk will give us an insight to the scammers and more importantly give us tips and information to avoid getting scammed – whether it is through a phonecall, information through the post or an internet/email scam.

This is a popular event and, as we have limited numbers due to this being held in the De Vitre room, please contact Sue on 07957-801394 or sue831@btinternet.com to reserve your place.

Non-MU members will be asked for a £3 visitors fee.

Please come from 1.45pm for a drink beforehand and we will promptly start at 2pm.
