With spring just around the corner, we’re feeling a renewed sense of energy and focus and we couldn’t be more grateful for your continued support.
We believe that friendship and a sense of community give us purpose and meaning, enhancing our well-being. These connections bring physical and emotional health benefits, helping us bounce back, eat well, move more, and inspire those around us to do the same. Most importantly though, good friendships are key to having fun and in later life, we feel that’s crucial.
What we do
We are a charity dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults in our community through friendship and support.
Our services include regular home visits and phone calls from our dedicated volunteers, varied group activities such as pub lunches, chair yoga, dementia support, and friendship groups. We also assist with technology access and help with introductions to community events and activities locally. Our goal is to ensure everyone involved with the charity feels valued, connected, and supported.
Charity of the Year 2025!
We were thrilled to win Charity of the Year with the Thames Valley Business and Community Awards and were finalists for The Outstanding Contribution to the Community Award.
We are committed to improving the lives of older people struggling with the serious impact of loneliness. Our brilliant team of 430 volunteers and our talented staff all work tirelessly and with great enthusiasm to bring vital friendship and connection to so many throughout the year and so seeing our efforts acknowledged within our community and region is a wonderful lift for us all. We were excited to join the awards ceremony on February 28th and many thanks to Blandy and Blandy Solicitors for helping to make this possible. We want to thank everyone that has contributed to our success – this award is for YOU!
