National Flower Arranging Day – Flower Arranging Workshop

Coronation flowers 1

In conjunction with the All Saints Café, we will be holding a ‘Drop In and Arrange’ workshop anytime between 9.30am and 4pm on Friday 20th June to celebrate the day.  All welcome, come along and join us to  create an arrangement that makes you happy, learn more skills and have tea, coffee or cake in the café.  Bring some flowers that you like and foliage if you are able, we can supply containers, oasis etc and some foliage if required.  You will need scissors and secateurs.  It’s free to attend the workshop, but any containers would need to be paid for, and normal café prices would apply.

Further information:

If you have a container you would like to use please bring it along, it can be anything that oasis will go into or something you may like to try without oasis. We will have some dishes available if you need.

Flowers of your choice, please ensure that they have had a good drink of water by putting in a bucket or container of clean water preferably overnight*. You will need small flowers for outline and some larger for impact. A supermarket mixed bunch would be suitable.

Foliage: please bring what foliage you can but again please ensure that it has had a good drink of water*. As well as bush foliage, individual leaves are useful, ie Large Ivy, Hosta, Bergenia.  Part of the workshop will be to show you how to cut and prepare foliage for arranging.

*You do not need deep water just enough to give plant material a drink.

You will need scissors or secateurs, plastic sheet for table to work on and a rubbish bag

The Workshop is free to attend but any oasis, dishes we supply would have to be paid for.

Finally, just come along and enjoy creating an arrangement that makes you happy.

Any questions please contact me, I am always happy to help
