Current Services in church & online

SERVICES IN CHURCH

Services are now taking place in the church for in-person attendance. There are services on both Sunday morning and Sunday evening. Our mid-week service of Holy Communion on Tuesdays takes place at 10am, and our Wednesday Morning Mums service has now restarted in church too at 10am.  We hold Morning Prayer in church at 9am on Thursdays, and on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays on Zoom (details below).  Night Prayer is held on Zoom on Thursdays at 9pm.

We are also now holding christenings, weddings and funerals.

There are no longer any legal caps on numbers for services.  The seating capacity of the church remains lower than pre-pandemic because we are using fewer pews in order to keep distance between them. Whilst there are no legal requirements for social distancing in seating,  caution is still recommended so we are offering those attending the option of reserving seats either side of them so they can choose to keep a social distance from others.  We ask people to wear facemasks in church, including whilst singing. Pre-registration of attendance, or registration at the door on arrival,  on Sunday mornings, remains in place for now. See our full coronavirus safety measures now in place.

Family Services

We have restarted our family services for families with primary ages children and below, once a month on the following dates.

These services include a short simple Communion.

  • Sunday 31st October at 10am – Climate.  Starting with the walk of witness for climate change (optional), the service will take place in The Cornerstone, joining the church congregation for the Eucharist.
  • Sunday 28th November at 11.15am – Start of Advent
  • Sunday 19th December at 11.15am – Christmas Service

During the past few months we were providing a weekly email, with a theme or thought.  This has included craft activities, songs and prayers which families can engage with at home.  Although we are no longer sending theses weekly emails, all our previous emails are still available.  Click Here
