Scrubs Glorious Scrubs evening

March 2023

Thank you to those who came to our Scrubs Glorious Scrubs evening on Wednesday night.

It was a lovely evening, seeing such talented ladies with their needlework!  It was very inspiring to hear their story of how their group came together so quickly, in response to our NHS needing extra scrubs in those first few months of the pandemic (remembering the huge shortfall they had, as hospital staff had to change their clothes many times during their shifts).

The highlight of our evening was looking at a handmade patchwork scroll, that told their journey between March-June 2020, capturing many memories from the pandemic.  It stretched out so long, they even captured samples of material used in EVERY set of scrubs they made. I have tried to capture it in this photo attached (so imagine the photos were next to each other in a long line!!).

We all said it needs to go on display, as it was such a masterpiece!

Please click on the link below for their Facebook page for more information about the wonderful work they do.
