This Sunday we are welcoming as our guest speaker at the 9.30am Parish Communion service Ruth Wilde who is the National Coordinator of Inclusive Church. This is a network of churches across the country who are joined by their commitment to be truly inclusive church communities. We are exploring as a church whether All Saints joins this network. The Church Council is very supportive yet also wants the whole church to know and support being part of Inclusive Church. One question might be – are we not already an inclusive church so why join a network? One answer to that question is that when we become part of Inclusive Church we are then clearly identified to those who do not yet know us that we are welcoming and inclusive. It happens that Ruth Wilde’s visit to us coincides with Wokingham’s Pride weekend. The main events take place on Saturday 9th July. Details here. Look out for the Pride flag on the church tower on Saturday and Sunday.
