Celebrating All Saints

This weekend we are celebrating All Saints. It’s a church festival observed by many churches but has a special significance for our parish because we are named for All Saints.

So this Sunday at our church services we will be celebrating both saints everywhere and also the life of our own parish. We will thank God for the community around All Saints Church Wokingham, being thankful for all the people down the years who have sustained Christian faith and practice in this place, and for those who continue to do so today.

This might be the only All Saints Sunday ever, or for a very long time, that the church building has been closed. Even during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic All Saints Sunday was in between lock-down periods and so we were open.

By the time next All Saints Sunday comes in 2023 we will have been using the newly-refurbished church for the best part of the year. Spaceforall means more than just a renewed building. It will be the start of a new future for the community around All Saints Church as it  develops and grows in new ways.
