Rector’s message 29th April 2022

This weekend the month of May arrives. It’s definitely in the top three favourite months of the year for me and I guess lots of people feel the same, if ranking months is your thing! In the church’s year it falls mostly  in the Alleluia! season – the six weeks after Easter when we continue praising God for raising Jesus from the dead. It’s also the month when nature seems to be saying Alleluia! too – as new life bursts out everywhere. There are plenty of reasons why it’s the merry month!

This weekend we have the May Day bank holiday. I hope that you have some time to rest and enjoy the natural world around us. If you are coming along to Wokingham’s May Fayre in the town centre – visit our own church stall – combined with Saint Paul’s church –  and say hello. We are off Denmark Street on Monday.
