An anniversary event for Ukraine

Today is the first anniversary of the start of the  full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. This morning we were pleased to welcome  to The Cornerstone members of the Ukrainian community in Wokingham, members of this church and other local churches , and members of the Wokingham Borough Council Ukraine support team, for a time of reflection and sharing. There was time to chat, share food and drink, do some creative activities, and to hear Scripture readings and prayers.  Thank you to Becky, Hannah, Jennifer and Miriam from All Saints and to the WBC team, who made it happen.

Will Easter be celebrated in the newly re-opened church building?

I need to let everyone know that  our Holy Week and  Easter services  will be held in The Cornerstone again this year. The church building will not quite be ready for us to hold services there as early as the first week of April.  We expect to receive access to the church later in the Spring.

Save the date!

The Bishop of Oxford is booked to be with us for a Service of Thanksgiving and Dedication at the re-opening of the  church in the evening of  Tuesday 23rd May.
