Prayers for the planet

Members of All Saints Church were among those who gathered in Wokingham town centre last Saturday for prayers for the planet. Canon David Hodgson, Rector of All Saints Church said: “We want to stand up for climate action in solidarity with so many people across the world and we also want to pray because we know prayer changes things and when it comes to the climate emergency “everything must change”. Here at All Saints Church Wokingham, we are committed to mobilising the resources of our faith to support action on climate change and the degradation of the environment. Our Church Council and our ministers have determined to take fresh and urgent action including in our worship, prayer, teaching and mission as a church to encourage creative and imaginative responses to the climate crisis. The single most important thing any of us can do is to get informed about the crisis. So we will be posting reliable information and news about the climate emergency most days on our Facebook page“.
