Parishioners welcome Becky with bubbly and cupcakes

Welcome party for Becky

Parishioners of All Saints Wokingham welcomed the new curate in the parish, The Reverend Becky Medlicott, with a special get-together at The Cornerstone.  Becky was ordained on 3rd July at Christ Church Cathedral in Oxford and started her ministry in Wokingham the following day. For her first posting after ordination Becky will be developing in the role of an ordained minister. She will be serving in the Church of England parish of Wokingham (All Saints),  which covers the eastern half of the town of Wokingham, as part of the team of ministers based at All Saints Church with the Rector, The Reverend Canon David Hodgson.

The welcome party was the first indoor hospitality the church had been able to offer since the start of the pandemic. Becky and her family were toasted with bubbly and there were plenty of cupcakes too.

Canon David Hodgson the Rector said:” We are very pleased as a parish to have been selected by our Bishop, and by Becky, to receive her as one of the ministers in the parish. We look forward to serving with her in God’s work in Wokingham. helping her to grow in her ministry,  and learning from her.”
