Making church a safe and caring place

Safeguarding poster

This week we are celebrating All Saints Day and we are excited for our All Age service on Sunday which will feature a number of stalls from some of the groups and activities within our church community. Do come along at 9:30am on Sunday to get involved!

All Saints Day is an important reminder that every single member of the church is valued and should feel part of this community. This ties in well with church being a safe place for people to come and in a few weeks time we will be observing ‘Safeguarding Sunday’. As is being increasingly recognised, safeguarding is not just for a few people, but everyone is responsible for safeguarding and ensuring the church is a safe place for all. At All Saints we are looking to create a safe and caring culture where people are respected and cared for, and not afraid to speak out if something is wrong. We have two safeguarding officers, Tom and Kathryn, and a small safeguarding team, who are working hard to make this a reality – but it is something that all of us can get involved with.
