Locusts spotted in church at Family Service

Multi-coloured locusts appeared in church at a recent 11am Family Service. Children and parents were challenged by the activity of creating locusts from everyday objects to remind them of John the Baptist, a key figure in the appearance of Jesus as light of the world. John is said to have survived in the wilderness of Judea by eating locusts and wild honey. John  called people to change their lives , to be baptised as a sign of their turning to a new life, and to follow Jesus .
