Learning workshop for leaders of Daily Prayer

Leaders of Morning and Evening Prayer at All Saints Church, both lay members and ordained ministers met together last Sunday to learn from one another, sharing insights and best practice from their wide experiences both within and beyond church life. The aim of the session was to increase all leaders’ ability and skill in responding well to members of the public who visit the church during the times of services.

Canon David Hodgson, Rector of All Saints Wokingham,  said: “It is not uncommon for leaders of our daily prayer services to encounter visitors to the church who come with different requests or needs. Our aim in this session was to further equip our service leaders to be able to offer a sensitive and helpful response to all visitors.  This is in addition to the standard safeguarding training and lone working advice which church leaders are given.”
