Harvest Festival

This Sunday we celebrate our Harvest Festival at church! We will be collecting for the Wokingham Foodbank so do bring along your donations of jam, toothpaste and coffee (see shopping list below for more items that the Foodbank are in need of). As well as our usual Sunday morning services we have Family Communion at 11:15am in church and we will follow straight on to our Harvest Lunch (from midday) so do come along to that as well. Our lunch will be vegetarian and vegan food this year, in line with our effort to live up to our Silver Eco Church status, and will be in the church itself. There is no cost to attend but we will be collecting monetary donations for Christian Aid.

This Sunday we will also be re-introducing passing around the giving plate during our services. Harvest is a good time to be reminded of the abundant and generous nature of God, and as God’s people we too are called to generous giving. The church is totally reliant on your donations for all its work and funds are tight at the moment and looking forward in to 2024. If you are able to increase your giving or begin giving regularly we would really appreciate it, please see here for more information and to find out how the money is spent, or ask on Sunday.
