Harvest 2022 at All Saints

All saints harvest flowers 2022 2

We had a great Harvest celebration at All Saints on 2nd October. Following our earlier communion services, we had a fun family service with some Harvest songs and reflecting on the importance of ‘passing it on’.

Becky says ‘when we think about all that God has given us and blessed us with, we can’t help but ‘pass it on’ by sharing joy, kindness, helpfulness, forgiveness, and also material things like food. Passing it on is not just for Harvest but should be part of our daily lives as Christians’.

We had a good crowd of around 30 people come along to family service, many of whom stayed on for our Harvest lunch. It was our first Harvest lunch for several years and tasty delights included bean stew, shepherd’s pie, soup and salmon lasagne. A big thank you to all those who offered to cook or donate food to make it such a yummy success!

Around 45 people attended the lunch, from the very young, to the not quite so young! We raised funds for USPG’s Harvest appeal supporting families in Malawi.  The exact amount to be announced shortly.
