Getting Singing!

Last Sunday we kicked off our Christmas services with our Christingle Service – around 80 of us gathered in the church, to make our Christingles, hear the Christmas story and sing some carols – when we turned the lights down, lit our Christingles and sang Away in a Manger it was an especially beautiful moment. If you enjoy a good bit of carol singing then be reassured that you have not missed your opportunity! Over the next few weeks we have lots of Christmas services, many of them with some lovely carol singing. Notably this Sunday we have our Family Carols – a great opportunity for those of all ages to come together and have a good sing song of some favourites – O come all ye Faithful, Away in a Manger, Silent Night, O Little Town, to name a few, and maybe find out a few interesting facts about those carols too. Sunday at 5pm in church followed by some festive refreshments. Then on Christmas Eve of course we have our Nine Lessons and Carols service. Led by our All Saints Alumni Choir its a beautiful service where you can enjoy listening to some carols as well as singing some! If you would rather get out and about to sing some carols then don’t miss out on singing with CTW friends outside the Christmas Presence shop in town on Sat 16th Dec at 12noon, and then again with CTW on Sat 23rd Dec at 2pm in Peace Place. Suspecting that we (and certainly the clergy!) may not have any voice left by Boxing Day, please note that our Sunday services on 31st Dec will be said services only, but with a special breakfast in between 8am and 9:30am.
