All Saints Walk of Witness for the Climate

The 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference, also known as COP26, is the 26th Conference of the parties to the UN Convention on Climate Change, involving over 190 countries.

It is taking place in Glasgow, between 31 October and 12 November 2021, under the presidency of the United Kingdom.

As a church here at All Saints we want to mark this and make a sign of the importance we attach to it by having a prayerful Walk of Witness on Sunday  31st October to support those attending and to witness to our concern for the climate and God’s world.

If you feel able to take part and walk from through the town to the Parish Communion service  on that day please gather at Elms Field at 9.15am.
The format will be as follows:

9.15am – Gather at Elms Field

9.35 am – Silent vigil

9.40 am – Walk to Church

10 am – Parish Communion service in church for All Saints Sunday

We welcome all ages. If you can avoid using the car that day it would be even better!

It would be lovely if you could wear something green on the day.  We do have some green sash’s.  Placards are fine – please ensure they are respectful and legal.

We have a wheelchair available to help those with mobility difficulties.
