Creationtide 2023

creationtide

The symbol for the Season of Creation 2023 is a Mighty River. The prophet Amos cries out: “But let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5: 24) and so we are called to join the river of justice and peace, to take up climate and ecological justice, and to speak out with and for communities most impacted by climate injustice and the loss of biodiversity.

As the people of God, we must work together on behalf of all Creation, as part of that mighty river of peace and justice.

This Creationtide runs from 1st September – 4th October culminating in our celebration of Harvest and every service during this time will be themed around exploring climate and ecological justice and how we might take better care of God’s world. During this time we have a number of things happening including our Earth Fayre (23rd Sept), a litter-thon, a series of lectures – click here for more information – and a vegetarian Harvest lunch on 1st October. Please do keep checking back to this page for more information.
