The Reverend Becky Medlicott was ordained a priest by the Bishop of Reading at a joyful service in Reading Minister last Saturday 25th June along with several other curates in the Berkshire Area of the Oxford Diocese. Becky will continue to serve as Assistant Curate at All Saints. Becky spent the first year of  her curacy, as is standard practice,  as a deacon following her initial ordination last year. Now as a priest she will continue to serve at All Saints and as a priest is authorised to preside at Communion services, give blessings and absolutions, and officiate at weddings.

The following day Becky presided for the first time at the Parish Communion service. in The Cornerstone. Her chosen guest  preacher at the service was in fact her husband, Andy Medlicott, who is training for ordained ministry currently on a placement at Bray Parish Church.

The service was followed by a parish lunch . This was a double celebration for both Becky’s ordination and for the completion of ordination training by Chrispen Gumbs, who has been on placement at All Saints from his home diocese in the Caribbean whilst studying with Wycliffe Hall, Oxford.
