The Rector, Canon David Hodgson writes: Our spaceforall project took an exciting momentous step forward this week as the Church Council agreed a programme and price for the works with a contractor to make the community space in the church.
I am delighted that we are working with Borras Construction Limited ,who have done excellent similar work in other churches in the south-east.
Funds continue to be needed. We have a good price but it is inevitably tight and we are going forward on the basis and in faith that the final necessary funding will be raised during the year.
As pandemic risks reduce and winter slides away there will be opportunities for some outdoor sponsored fund-raising events – or you may chose to do indoor ones like Jo’s amazing “swimathon” before Christmas which raised £2000 in sponsorship from her friends and family.
