The planning for Christmas at All Saints Church is well -developed and details of special events and services are now being published.
Rector, Canon David Hodgson, said: “There will be lots of different events and services in December to help us to both prepare for Christmas and to celebrate Christmas when it comes. As well as the weekly Sunday services throughout Advent leading up to Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, there will be special services during Advent , such as the Advent All Together Communion service at 9.30am on 1st December, Advent Sunday; and the very atmospheric Advent Candlelight Service at.6.30pm of the same day , with All Saints Church Choir. Another special feature of our Advent services will be The Christingle Service in aid of the Children’s Society on Sunday 8th December at 4pm.
Christmas Eve and Christmas Day have services for all the family, the two popular Crib Services on Christmas Eve afternoon; and the Nine Lessons and Carols service with All Saints Church Choir also on Christmas Eve at 6.30pm. We will greet Christmas Day at Midnight Communion from 11.15pm on Christmas Eve night. And as well as those services, we are also looking forward to welcoming several of our local schools for their carol services and concerts during December. A new element of our Christmas offer this year will be a special Messy Church service located at Floreat Montague Park School. More details to follow. ”
