Many families enjoyed the Christingle Service earlier this month as one of the great ways to engage in worship and thanksgiving for all God’s gifts and especially for Jesus the light of the world. The service also shines a light on the vital work of The Children’s Society with vulnerable children across the country. This year is the 50th anniversary of the introduction of Christingle into the Church of England by the Children’s Society.
After the service, there was a festive tea featuring the now traditional in Wokingham and possibly unique, spherical Christingle cake!
The service was led by Associate Priest, The Reverend Hannah Higginson.
