Bishop of Oxford will walk into All Saints Church

The Bishop of Oxford, the Rt. Rev’d. Steven Croft,  will visit All Saints Church on an extended prayer walk across Berkshire in the first week of September. The pilgrimage will reach the parish of  Wokingham All Saints at approximately 12 noon on Tuesday 3rd September, where the Bishop and those walking with him will stop for a Eucharist in the church and take a lunch break. Parishioners are invited to walk with the Bishop through the All Saints parish and to join in the Eucharist and lunch (bring your own sandwiches, teas and coffees provided!).

Bishop Steven said ” I’m spending a day in each deanery praying in each of the 38 churches I visit with those who can gather and mostly walking between them (with a bit of travel by boat and by bike). I will be praying in every church we visit for the renewal of our life and ministry and especially for the renewal of the ministry of teaching the faith to new Christians. I will be praying for the renewal of the life of our nation in these turbulent times. I will be listening to God as I walk and to ordinary (but extraordinary) church life across the six deaneries of Berkshire.” Read more
