Associate Priest to move house to Montague Park

The Reverend Hannah Higginson with the Mayor of Wokingham

The Associate Priest for the parish, The Reverend Hannah Higginson, is to move house later in September in order to become resident within the Montague Park housing area. This will allow Hannah to be more involved in the life of the neighbourhood there, to build relationships, and to be part of the development of the community. A suitable house to enable Hannah to carry out her official duties whilst providing adequate living space for her family has been purchased by the Diocese of Oxford, which will be putting the former house in Bishops Drive on the market for sale. The Rector of the parish, Canon David Hodgson said: “The Reverend Hannah Higginson was appointed to this parish with a brief to develop ministry in the new housing areas of our parish. Being a resident in the largest of this new area is a vital step forward for her work. I am delighted that the Diocese has obtained this house for Hannah and her family in Montague Park, and very thankful to Hannah and her family for their patience in waiting until the right property became available. It means residents of the newest residents of our parish will have the opportunity for direct contact with a minister in their neighbourhood, and Hannah will have day-to-day opportunities to exercise Christian ministry and service in these areas”
