Two representatives of the church last week visited the offices and family facilities of Parents and Children Together in Reading to find out more about the work the charity does in supporting and building families through adoption support and community support.
The Rector, Canon David Hodgson, was accompanied by church member Paul Armitage and they spent the morning with PACT. Facilities visited included Alana House which supports vulnerable women. See the video below for more information about Alana House.
All Saints Church provides regular financial and prayer support to PACT. Paul Armitage is the PACT champion and contact person on behalf of the Church Council.
Canon David Hodgson said: “We were warmly welcomed at PACT and were truly impressed by the dedication and professionalism of the PACT staff. Whilst it is always good to keep up to date with the projects and activities of the charity through their website and social media posts, meeting the staff and hearing from them first-hand about their work gave us a much more rounded understanding of what the charity achieves and the real benefits it delivers to the children and families it supports.”
