Annual Church Meeting

Vestry and Annual Parochial Church Meeting 2020

The Annual Church Meeting 2020 will now not take place on Sunday 26th April as previously advertised. It has been postponed until the Autumn because of the Coronavirus COVID-19. A new date will be announced in due course.

This will be the 101st Annual Meeting of the Parish. It has two parts.

First, it will begin with the Vestry meeting at 11 am to elect the churchwardens.

This will be followed at 11.10am by the Annual Parochial Church Meeting in which members of the Parochial Church Council will be elected, questions about the Annual Church Report and Accounts and other church matters will be taken,  and the Rector will give an address.

Papers relating to the Annual Meeting will be released on this webpage nearer the time.

All residents of the parish and members of the church electoral roll are entitled to attend the Vestry Meeting and vote for churchwardens;  but please note you must be a member of the Church Electoral Roll in order to attend the second section of the meeting, the Annual Parochial Church Meeting, and vote for the Parochial Church Council.

We encourage all regular worshippers to join the church electoral roll if you fulfil the criteria. See below for details about how to make sure you are on the church electoral roll in time to take part in the Annual Parochial Church Meeting.

The Church Electoral Roll

All members of the Church of England (or of a Church in communion with the Church of England)  who are baptised (christened) and over the age of 16 and who are either resident in the parish or have habitually attended public worship here for the last 6 months are eligible to join the Church Electoral Roll.  The deadline for new applications is no longer Sunday 29th March as previously advertised. A new deadline will be announced when the new date for the APCM has been set. Forms for new applications to be on the Church Electoral Roll may be requested by emailing the Parish Office or  downloaded here [Download not found]

Existing members of the Roll do not need to re-apply this year 2020; but please advise us if there are any changes to your name or address details.

Please address any queries to the Electoral Roll Officer,  <ahref=”mailto:EROfficer@allsaintswokingham.org.uk”>Harriet Swinyard, and please return completed forms via the Parish Office.
