SUNDAY MORNING SERVICES
8am Holy Communion
A quiet meditative service of Holy Communion with short sermon (no music). Duration: 40 minutes.
9.30am Parish Communion
This is the largest gathering for worship with a congregation of all age groups. It happens eery Sunday of the year unless it is a special festival (see All Together Communion). It is a modern language service of Communion following the Common Worship pattern of the Church of England. Music and singing is led by one of our Church Choirs (except in school summer holidays) and, on specified Sundays also with other music groups. A sermon/address on the theme or bible readings of the day. All are welcome to receive Communion or a blessing at the altar. Confidential prayer ministry run by our care and prayer team is available after this service .Children and young people are welcome and we are a church at which children are admitted to Communion. A crèche for babies and a Junior Church and Youth Church groups run concurrently in The Cornerstone. Parents please register new children for Crèche, Junior Church or Youth Church at The Cornerstone on arrival. Duration: 60-75 minutes
9.30am All Together Communion
This is a Communion service usually held on special festivals when all ages are in the service together throughout. The first part of the service is stream-lined and flexible to allow the full inclusion of children and young people. There are activities for children – and adults; there is an all-age talk/presentation on a theme for the day. Music by by both All Saints Music Group and All Saints Choir. All are welcome to receive Communion or a blessing at the altar. Children and young people are welcome and we are a church at which children are admitted to Communion. 55 minutes.
The family services are simple with songs, prayers and a talk for children. Each service has a clear theme. It happens on the 1st and 3rd and 4th Sundays of each month. There is coffee afterwards in the Cornerstone. If you ever worry that your children are too noisy for church, this is the place to try! (30 minutes)
On the 4th Sunday of each month it takes the form of a simple Family Communion service to which all are welcome (30 mins)
11.15am BCP Holy Communion
A said service of Holy Communion in the Lady Chapel with short sermon according to the rites of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. (35-40 mins)
6.30pm Choral Evensong
At this service we worship God in poetic language and the sacred music of the choral tradition of the Church of England, following the original Book of Common Prayer pattern (1662) for Evening Prayer. The service is sung by All Saints Church Choir, though with hymns for the congregation to join in, and a short talk. (55 minutes).
6.30pm Evening Prayer (said)
A short meditative service according to contemporary language Common Worship. No hymns.
6.30pm Evening Healing Service
A quiet meditative service (with hymns) at which prayer is offered with laying on of hands in the name of Christ for any who would like this ministry; or on behalf of others who are in need.
Daily Prayer at All Saints Church takes place every weekday at 9am and 5pm ( except Saturday).
Tuesday Mid-week Communion service 9.30am
A said service held in the Lady Chapel followed by coffee in the Cornerstone.
“Wednesday Mums” at 10am in church every Wednesday
A Communion service for parents and carers of pre-school age children. We gather in a circle around the nave altar. There are toys and books available for the children and babies to play with during the service and then everyone goes to the Cornerstone for coffee.
This is held during term time in the Cornerstone on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month, after school until 4.45pm. This is aimed at accompanied children and includes snacks, craft, stories and songs and is meant to introduce the Church and Christian faith in a relaxed and informal way.
