New Associate Priest welcomed in special service

The Revd Hannah Higginson with the Bishop of Reading, The Rector, and other colleagues

All Saints Church welcomed The Reverend Hannah Higginson, its new Associate Priest,  last week with a special service led by the Bishop of Reading and attended by the Town Mayor and representatives of other churches in the town.

Hannah will be a full-time member of the team of clergy and lay ministers working alongside the Rector, Canon David Hodgson. She will have particular responsibilities for the new housing areas being built in the parish and for families with children in the parish.

Canon David Hodgson said: ” I’m delighted to welcome Hannah to join our community and ministers’ team here at Wokingham All Saints. Hannah brings many gifts following an excellent first appointment in the Parish of Finchampstead and California. We welcome too into the local community her husband Matt and daughter Elizabeth.”

In the wider community, Hannah chairs the Wokingham Foodbank and is also Chaplain to South Berkshire  District Scouts.

Hannah said: “Thank you for the welcome that you have already extended to myself, Matt and Elizabeth, and we look forward to getting to know you all and working with you to serve God in this place. “
